 BOLD VENTURES November 2023

Western Pennsylvania Blind Outdoor Leisure Development

For most of our country’s history, each year the date for Thanksgiving Day was designated by the President. Thanksgiving did not become an official legal holiday until Congress passed a law on November 26, 1941. The law states that Thanksgiving will be on the 4th Thursday in November.

Have a good Thanksgiving!

IMPORTANT NOTICE

BOLD will be holding a general membership meeting as part of our holiday party on the afternoon of Sunday, December 10, 2023. (More information about the party will be in December’s BOLD Ventures.) This meeting will be for the election of these board members: President, First Vice-President and Corresponding Secretary. Article V Section 1 of the BOLD Constitution states: “The names of all nominees shall be submitted by mail to all members in good standing at least 30 days prior to the election.” This is that notice. The following BOLD members have been nominated: President, Nancy Leverett; First Vice-President, Bradlee Tebbs; Corresponding Secretary, Robin Stemple. Please join us for this important meeting and also be there for the holiday fun!

Bold prides itself on the fact that our monthly newsletter, BOLD Ventures, is made available to our members in the format of their choice—email, braille, print and large print. But doing this involves various costs. You could help defray some of the cost by being a BOLD Ventures sponsor for a month. If you would like to sponsor one of the BOLD Ventures, just make a $50 donation to BOLD. If you wish, for your donation, you will get your name and a short greeting of your choice in BOLD Ventures.
