PAST EVENTS

A sincere thank you to all who helped guide campers returning from camp Kon-o-kwee, when we were stranded a few blocks from the Human Services building, especially Stu Weissman, John Perseo, Ed Reid, and others.

The tandem bike outing in May was a big success, 12 tandem bikers and 12 captains had a great time!

Ray’s picnic in June was well attended and enjoyed by all. See Peggy’s personal perspective.

PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE

Peggy wants to thank everyone who came to help serve at the Annual Highland Park picnic. The food was delicious, and games were easy fun: bocce ball, bean toss, a healthy hike and a chance to tandem bike. Many thanks to Ray Jablonowski and his sister Cindy with the Catholic Alumni Club for their generous gift. Nobody could go home hungry!

BOLD BITS

No meals, but an ice cream social at the Lutheran Center for the blind will be held on Sunday August 6 from 5 to 7 PM. To sign up for it, call during the week before July 22, phone Center Director Sherri Crum: 412-682-1800.

Welcome to new BOLD member Donald Thorne. He is a brother of Marilyn Hall and Kimberley Morrissey. He has a great sense of humor. I told him he shares his first name with a very famous person. He replied: Yes, with Donald Duck!

Congratulations to Penny Fleckenstein and her family on all their happy events! Her daughter Katrina married Victor on April 29, her daughter Natasha and fiancé Shannon welcomed Peyton, their first child and her second grandson, into the world on May 4th. Her son Eric graduated from Northgate High on June 5th.

Happy Birthday to Bonnie Newland, Carol Platt, Ashley Winaught, Joe Wassermann, and anyone else with a July Birthday.

Thank you to everyone whose hard work makes BOLD Ventures possible.
