NEW DIRECTION

Going forward, we will no longer list the events of other organizations in great detail.

We will simply mention the organization and a phone number where people can get information.

This will affect: Friendship group Mall walking, Lutheran Center for the Blind and Carnegie Library for the Blind.

Monroeville Mall walking is our own Bold event, so that will continue to be listed.

Cultural events, subsidized or not, will continue to be listed when the next season starts up.

PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE by Peggy on the camp Kon-o-Kwee weekend.

Our Bold Kon-o-kwee weekend was marvelous! Saturday's weather was cool and sunny, so I walked a lot on the spacious grounds. Sunday's early morning mini Thundered downpour mellowed into a cloudy drizzle. The whole weekend, food was tasty and plentiful. Several fellow campers were as cheerfully all around helpful as the few delightful camp staff. Activities included basketball and canoeing, a nature walk and evening bingo after a rousing fundraiser folk concert.

There were campfire s'mores, brought to us in the lodge. The group bus trip there was prompt & smooth. (The trip back was another story). Thanks to the team of Bold-sters who made this rich experience happen.

THE END
